In those corridors, 500 Arhat statues made of monolithic stone are placed. Each room has only 3 Arhat stone statues. These 500 Arhat stone statues are made by the hands of the most talented artisans of the stone village of Ninh Van commune, Hoa Lu district, Ninh Binh province. Sculptors did the work of creating a sample of 500 Arhats in one year (2004).

It can be said that these are 500 stone Arhats of Vietnam created by Vietnamese people, of course based on Chinese sketches. Therefore, these 500 Arhats in Bai Dinh Pagoda may not be the same as China’s 500 Arhat statues in detail. Each statue has a different shape, style, charisma, and mood, but they all have a common feature that is a mixture of human suffering with the immortal and noble spirit of the missionary.
