About Bai Dinh Pagoda
The current pagoda complex covers an area of ​​539 hectares, including 27 hectares of the ancient Bai Dinh pagoda area with a history dating back to the Dinh dynasty and 80 hectares of the newly built Bai Dinh pagoda area in 2003, among other items.
Surrounding the pagoda are the majestic and tall limestone arcs, which blend in with the pagoda scene to form a massive and dignified work. With the current size of the temple, there are few other temples in Vietnam that can match it.
Bai Dinh pagoda is located on Bai Dinh mountain in Gia Sinh commune, Gia Vien district, 5km northwest of Hoa Lu ancient capital and 12km from Ninh Binh city. Visitors can rent a car or ride a motorbike or car.
From Ninh Binh, visitors follow the road to Dinh Le relic area. At the end of the road, turn right, then go straight until you see the dike and turn left until you see Bai Dinh pagoda.
The best time to go to Bai Dinh Pagoda is in the spring. Every year, people often flock to the temple festival from the afternoon of the 1st of Tet. The next one will open on the 6th of the Lunar New Year and last until the end of the 3rd lunar month.

Tram ticket price to visit Bai Dinh pagoda
Currently, the management board does not sell tickets to the entrance of Bai Dinh Pagoda but only sells tram tickets to visit the pagoda for 40,000 VND / person / time.
If you do not want to take the tram, you can absolutely choose to walk to enjoy the view of the pagoda, so you only have to pay the parking fee (about 20,000 VND / motorbike) if you ride here.
NEW BAI DINH PAGODA
Tam Quan Ngoai
Bai Dinh Pagoda has 3 foreign entrances built high and wide, symbolizing 3 doors to enter the temple. Each of the three exterior doors has 3 doors, built with reinforced concrete and stone outside, with four small curved roofs with stone roofs above.
Tam Quan Noi
Tam Quan Noi was built entirely of Tu Thiet wood, 16.5m high, 32m long, 13.5m wide. Tam Quan Noi has 4 female columns, each column is 13.85m high, 0.87m in diameter and weighs about 10 tons.
Arhat Corridor
The Arhat corridor is designed entirely of wood, the roof trusses are structured in the style of a gong rack with a double bed, consisting of 2 rows, 3,400m long with 250 compartments, each space is 4.5m x 4.5m in size. . Along the left and right corridors, 500 Arhat statues carved in monolithic stone are placed, crafted by artisans of Ninh Van stone village (Hoa Lu – Ninh Binh).
Bell tower
The bell tower is built of reinforced concrete with imitation wood, the architecture of the ancient bell tower, octagonal shape, has 3 curved roofs, roofed with dark brown Bat Trang pipe glazed tiles. The bell tower is 22m high, 17m in diameter, bearing the shape of a lotus flower.
Buddha Temple
Quan The Am Bodhisattva was built entirely of wood, including 7 compartments, 14.8m high, 40.4m long, 16.8m wide. In the middle of the hall, there is a statue of Quan De Quan Am with thousand eyes and thousand hands cast in gilded bronze, weighing 80 tons, 9.57m high.
Lake of Liberation
Phong Sinh Lake has a width of 63m, a length of 77m, an area of ​​​​nearly 5000m2. In the lotus pond. Lotus is a symbol of Buddha and Nirvana. The lake below is yin, the pagoda above is yang.
Master of Law
The main temple of Bai Dinh pagoda worshiping Buddha was built entirely of reinforced concrete and imitation wood, very massive, majestic, nearly 30m high to the roof, 44.7m long, 43.3m wide, with an area of ​​1,945m.

Bodhi Garden
Bai Dinh is the temple with the most Bodhi trees in Vietnam. On May 17, 2008, on the occasion of the United Nations Day of Vesak in Vietnam, 100 Bodhi trees from the Indian Bodhi tree were planted by the leaders of Vietnam and the world on the temple grounds.
Stele house
