According to legend, Duyen Ninh Pagoda is where Princess Le Thi Phat Ngan and the general Ly Cong Uan made a vow to marry and then gave birth to the fourth prince Ly Phat Ma (King Ly Thai Tong) in the year 1000.

Am Tien cave under the Dinh dynasty was originally a place to keep tigers to execute criminals. and right at the foot of Dia mountain is Ao Giai, where the king raised crocodiles to punish the wicked.
