This place has long been famous tourist destination for tourists who love to explore and adventure. When traveling to Ninh Binh, you can not only admire the unique cultural and historical heritage but also explore nature with many majestic mountains, diverse caves and rich sightseeing places. Today we would like to introduce to you the Tam Coc – Van Long – Kenh Ga cycling route.
Distance: ~45km
Duration: 5-6 hours (including stops)
Difficulty: Easy to Moderate (mostly flat roads, some village paths)

Ninh Binh province that can be visited all year round, each season has its own beauty. It has a tropical monsoon climate, divided into 4 distinct seasons including: spring -summer – autumn – winter. The best season to travel to Ninh Binh is in autumn (from September to November) or spring (from January to March)
Spring (from January to March): the weather is cool, pleasant, with little rain, suitable for sightseeing, moutain climbing and exploring nature. During this season, you can also participate in vibrant traditional festivals such as Bai Dinh Pagoda Festival, Thai Vi Temples Festival, Hoa Lu Ancient Capital Traditional Festival,etc.
Autumn (from September to November): The climate is mild, the sky is blue, the air is fresh. This is the season when lotus flowers bloom, creating a poetic and romatic scene. You can visit lotus ponds such as Tam Coc, Van Long, Kenh Ga, ect and enjoy specialties made from lotus flowers.
Route Highlights
1.Tam Coc – Van Long (about 25km)
Start your ride from Tam Coc, passing through lush rice fields, karst mountains, and peaceful villages.
Visit Hoa Lu Ancient Capital (optional stop) to see Vietnam’s first capital from the 10th century.
Arrive at Van Long Nature Reserve, known as “the bay without waves,” where you can take a boat tour to see rare Delacour’s langurs.

2.Van Long – Kenh Ga (about 20km)
Cycle though local villages, seeing rural life and stunning karst formations.
Follow paths along the Hoang Long River, enjoying scenic water views.
Reach Kenh Ga Hot Springs, a floating fishing village known for its thermal waters. You can take a boat ride or relax in the springs.
