Friends, today, let’s follow us to start this super interesting journey to explore Van Trinh cave.

Originally, Van Trinh cave was often called by the surrounding people by another name, which is “Giang Tien” cave. The name ” Giang Tien” is associated with an old story, related to the youngest daughter of heaven who came down to earth to help people raise healthy and beautiful children.
At that time, when she came to the human world, she realized that this land had a poetic and charming landscape, so she chose the cave as a place to stop. At that time, poor families, those who had difficulty in conceiving or raising children often came here to pray. When they came to pray to her, they often bought a piece of cloth to place an offering at the cave entrance to ask for her blessing. The next day, when they returned, the piece of cloth was gone, only a newborn shirt appeared.
When they brought this shirt home to dress their child, the people noticed that the child grew faster and was healthier than everyone else, so they were very happy and grateful to the youngest fairy. Later, when the youngest fairy returnedto heaven, the local people together built a temple in front of the cave to burn incese every morning and evening, expressing their respect and gratitude to the kind fairy. Therefor, besides the name Van Trinh cave, people also often called this place Giang Tien cave, referring to the ancient story of the youngest fairy of heaven. However, due to the widespread reputation, at that time, not only people living in the surrounding areas came here, but also officials from the pre-1945 revolution often came here to worship at the temple, get water and ask for elixirs. At this time, the local people had to serve and carry the officials from the riverbank to the cave entrance, which was very difficult and costly. They had to close the cave entrance so that the officials could not come here anymore. Therefore, later, the cave had another name, Lap cave besides the names Van Trinh and Giang Tien.
